As you enter a cave you've never seen before, you smell the scent of death and decay emanating from
deep within. In your searching for the source of the foul odor, you come upon the broken and meatless
bones of a deer. The moment you see the bones, you begin to wonder the wisdom of entering this
particular cavern. But as you turn to leave you hear the faint sound of clashing iron and the
unmistakable sounds of rock music. Your curiosity takes you over, you venture forth deeper in to the
darkness. As you round a corner in the cave you see a light, the sounds and smells you experienced
before grow stronger. Once you emerge from the tunnel, you walk into a massive chamber. Looking
around the room you see a grand nest, a bookcase filled with grimories and assorted tomes, a
strangely out of place stereo, and a sword stand with one of its blades missing. Then you see a
flash of white and pass out.
As you awaken, you sense you can't move. You look around, you see your still in the grand chamber.
Then you hear it, the sound of footfalls and scratching claws coming toward you. Beginning to fear
the worst, you see a beaked face appears in front of you. The unknown face asks you: "Who are
you? What do you want? And why are you here?". Once you begin answering his questions, you hear
the crash of iron on rock and your arms relax, allowing you to sit up. As you sit up, your unknown
inquisitor sits before you, you see that your unexpected host is a graceful bronze gryphon. The
gryphon and you converse, and he uses the missing sword from the stand, lets you free from the
remainder of your bonds and allows you roam around his cave. As he does so, the gryphon says:
"Welcome to the Eyrie of Sable Drakon."
